A Sad State of Education

Scratching my head

I read an article on MSN this morning about the Higher Education system in our country.  For those of you who want to read the article it is here.  It seems that many institutions are actively recruiting non-resident students instead of resident students to increase income for the schools.  As a nation we are heading back in time, when only the rich and powerful could afford an education.  The masses were used as fodder for the rich, they were abused and left to die like cattle.  There are many answers to this problem, but we don’t want to face those tough decisions.  Like why politicians make so much money and only work about 10 weeks out of the year, the rest is trips and re-election.
