Seth’s blog brought up a good point that I have been saying for quite some time.  He just says it in a way that make sense, where as I ramble when I try to articulate this concept.  I would, however, like to add that I feel that a virtual library will be needed also.  A virtual space that people can use and interact with.  There are a few on line now, Second Life, although that has gotten to be more of a social site versus a academic site. There are some schools that still have a presence there.  A virtual library would service those individuals that could not make it physically to the library.  It would be open 24 hours a day with limited help during the off hours, or staffed by volunteers.
