40% More Manufacturing Jobs, But Skills… – Manufacturing Executive Community

40% More Manufacturing Jobs, But Skills… – Manufacturing Executive Community.

Our country is in an employment crisis.  We need to do more than just throw money at the situation.  We need to make educational opportunities open to people.  However not just any educational opportunities.  We need to determine which high skill jobs are out there and train for those.  I am sure that there are a few jobs for underwater basket weavers but should we be training thousands of people to do that.  I don’t think so.

We are too busy Nation Building overseas and not concentrating on building our own Nation.

Think about it.

Oh, but that is so true ! !These multi national companies take advantage of the low salaries in other countries. I have to admit majority of multi national cos.’ presence , for example, in the Philipiines, goes back more than a hundred years. Like Coca Cola…. It doesn’t make business sense to manufacture Coke in the US and export them to all these countries. Proctor and gamble too, and Johnson’s and Johnson’s….. they all have manufactuting plants in the Philippines. I’m talking about Hershey’s !!!!! Do you know it closed all its manufacturing plants here in the US and opted to manufacture all its products, 100 % , in Mexico ?. They closed down all their plants here in the US ! ! So yes, that’s what I’m talking about.
